BB-8 : When Sweet Little Girls get their Hands on a Droid…

…it’s an unexpected makeover session!

I was struggling to come up with a novel idea yet again for today’s upload, but I was looking at my LEGO Minifigure collection and noticed that I have not featured any of the short-legged ones.  These Minifigures are supposed to represent children.  It’s only now that I noticed how cute they are, especially the ones that came with the LEGO City “Fun in the Park – City People Pack” set.

With that in mind, I pulled out the lipsticks and propped an un-willing BB-8 on a chair!

BB-8 : Hula Hoop Showdown!

It’s Droid versus Stormtrooper in an epic hula hooping showdown!

It may look easy, but it was pretty challenging to get those hoops to p0se.  I was using blu-tac/reusable adhesive putty to try and keep the hoops in place, but their weight kept pulling them down off the figures.  The moment they stayed in place, I immediately took the shot.

Quite proud of myself for getting this far of uploading photos on a daily basis since November.  I might compile all my BB-8 images in one book and call it “365 Days of BB-8” at the end of this year, starting with the photo I uploaded last January 1.  Hopefully I will not jinx it now that I mentioned the streak!

BB-8 : Freeing Captain Solo.

Time to free Captain Solo from his carbonite-encased prison!

The idea behind this scene is actually to portray my BB-8 as a sculptor.  You can see it from the silhouette of his gesture as well as with how he is holding tools that looks like something being used by a sculptor.  Unfortunately, I had no time or accessories that looked like something being sculpted, so I opted for the “Encased in Carbonite Han Solo” prop instead.

BB-8 : LEGO City Rally Car 60113.

“We’re going rally-ing instead of podracing!”

This is a nice little build of the LEGO City “Rally Car” set 60113.  I got it half-priced during a ToysRUs sale.  The Rally Car looks great and I wished I had a more creative idea in presenting it.

This set takes me back to my youth where LEGO used to release these very affordable little sets.  Back then the builds were much simpler.  They look more highly-detailed nowadays.  Not that I am complaining; I love them a lot!

BB-8 : Weekend Droid Maintenance.

I might have mentioned before that I sometimes buy a LEGO set for the accessories that it comes with.  Here’s one in particular: a toolbox set.  This accessory comes with the LEGO City “4 x 4 Off Roader” set 60115.  I will feature the vehicle in an upcoming post soon.
